FamilyLight ^sm is a consulting service for parents struggling with the psychological, behavioral, or maturity issues of a son or daughter. More specific examples might  include a child who is painfully shy or fragile in some way but not a behavior problem.  Complex psychiatric issues may or may not be involved. Some of our clients have substance abuse issues, but certainly not all. A very few have also been involved in criminal activity, although most have not. Our primary role is to help  families develop and implement a plan for resolving these presenting issues.  Frequently, but not always, this involves referral to residential or inpatient services.
